This unique suet feeder protects food from larger birds. It allows smaller birds to feed from the bottom cage area, while the rest of the suet cake is protected by the plastic sleeve. Your regular-size suet or seed cake fits neatly inside the coated wire container and, as the birds eat the cake, it continues to drop down until it is all gone. It's great for chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers and other small birds. Deters starlings, grackles and other large birds from feeding.
Includes a 17" hanging chain. Feeder measures: 5 1/4"l x 2 1/4"w x 6 3/4"h. Purchase suet cakes NWF3613 separately.

Product Comments: I decided to try this product because I to am tired of blackbirds, grackles chasing the smaller birds away from eating. They are such hogs and I purchase the suet for the woodpeckers and songbirds. This works great the larger birds cannot land as easily on it and finally give up. Hooray!!! I highly recommend this product and I am ordering two more. I am hoping it will works as well in the winter months with the snow and the plastic does not crack, hopefully it won't.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
