Adopt a Narwhal

Narwhals are medium-sized whales native to frigid waters of the Arctic and North Atlantic Oceans. Their long, single tusk likely helped fuel the myth of the unicorn. Typically, only the male narwhal grows a tusk but in some cases females do as well. They are sometimes seen in large pods, especially during their annual migration to the Arctic, otherwise they are found in small groups of two to ten animals. Narwhals can dive for up to 20 minutes while hunting for fish, squid and shrimp. Climate change and hunting for their ivory-like tusk are threats to narwhals, where are a near-threatened species. Their natural predators include Greenland sharks, orcas, polar bears, and walruses. Adopt a narwhal today!
