      I tutor a girl from the inner-city who reads well-below her age level. I remembered Ranger Rick from my childhood and decided to give it a try with my student. She LOVED it! The pictures are beautiful, the articles are interesting and educational. I found myself enjoying the magazine, despite being an adult - the same cannot be said for other kid magazines. It can be difficult to find material that an older student who struggles with reading will enjoy that is at an appropriate reading level. Thank goodness for Ranger Rick! I loved this when I was a kid and I remember why, now! My student chooses Ranger Rick over the other trash magazines that are considered more popular by kids her age.

        Followup on above review : called, and spoke with Michelle in customer service, who went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Little Sarah got her very 1st issue the next day, and is ever so happy.My confidence has been restored in NWF. Thanks.

        This magazine was a gift for my great -niece. After researching various childrens magazines, this seemed the best. Apparently not so. The order was placed on nov. 19,2012. When I contacted NWF re order on jan.21, they insisted my order was placed on jan. 14,2013, and the MARCH issue should be sent soon! What kind of second rate service is this? So from nov.2012 to march2013, NOT 4-6 weeks any way I look @ it! Not to mention the free calendar offer that was also a no show! This may be a good childrens magazine, if you can get it, but,so far you can 't prove it by me, or my very disappointed 5 year old great -niece. I really had more expectations of NWF,but apparently they don 't care about their customers. Should I donate to this organization?To help wildlife conservation, sure!
