I have several sign posted in my small yard. I live in an inner city/urban setting and I often get people on the sidewalk who stop and read the signs. It often prompts people to ask me questions about birds and wildlife, gardening etc., which are good conversations to have regardless where you live. Even here in the city we get chickadees, cardinals, jays, several species of hawks, and even cedar waxwings, bluebirds, warblers, rose breased grossbreaks, hummingbirds, and others. There is wildlife everywhere, you just have to look for it but lots of people do not realize this, so the signs help. The signs are such an important tool in helping to education people, because here in the city where there are many who are unaware simply because they were never exposed to the issue. I have asked NWF if they will print up the signs in spanish too, since the city is a very diverse place and I think that would help to spread the word. Minneapolis is pretty proactive and even informaiton from sent to home owners from the city is printed in english, spanish, somalian, and hmong. As nature lovers, if we are going to help our environment, we need to reach as many people as possible. Other than the language issue, I would give a 5/5.

We posted the sign at the end of our driveway. It looks good, seems to be of good quality, and lets visitors know we care about the wildlife on our property (so far, no comments about the sign from the wildlife, but we'll keep you posted).


The sign arrived promptly and undamaged. We're pleased that the money we paid for it sign goes to the NWF. We would have sent the same amount as a donation, but the sign is just plain cool!

The sign is attached to the end post of our deck. As people step off the deck or walk onto it, they see the sign. Many
questions get asked. They see how many different types of plantings there are, all the bird baths, both heated and unheated,
and the dishes on the ground that have water. There are many bird houses as well, and bird feed.
The sign is a very good representation. it gets people interested in what is going on. We have had several ask how to set
up their wildlife habitat. There is no negative about the sign. The colors are fine and the wording says it all.
Product was shipped in a timely manner and packaged well.

We posted these signs at our brush pile areas, near snags, and rock piles to serve as a notice these areas are not to be disturbed and are sensitive to providing wildlife shelter. They bring attention to these important aspects of our woodland property of 15 acres and are useful when teaching our younger relatives about the importance of wildlife and stewardship of our land.
