Comments about Shop NWF - D2C for Four Season's Heated Birdbath:
Product Comments: I use a regular bird bath on a pedestal in the warmer months, and I think some of the birds are not liking the change to this birth bath. I'm assuming because it's on the ground?
I read the instructions on resetting the thermostat, but I couldn't get it into my freezer. I just put it out and plugged it in (using an extension cord). Works fine.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Product Comments: I like the fact that the surface is rough and irregular; small wingless critters can grip it and have an easy exit. It has not frozen over even in sub-zero temps. Here in the New Mexico Rockies, water has attracted many birds that never showed up at our feeders, and I didn't even realize were in the area. Check water daily. Love it!

Product Comments: I wanted to like it but...the cord is only 13.25" including the prongs of the plug and the instructions say to buy a heavy-duty outdoor extension. Because the cord with it is lightweight I added a waterproof connection cover where it plugs into the extension cord, which I already had. So there are additional costs. The operation is tested and the thermostat reset by putting it into a freezer for 30 mins. This presumes one owns a freezer large enough to accommodate it and has space or is willing to let food sit out for the 30 mins. Instructions say not to put it in the wind; winter tends to be windy. I found it stays on most of the time even when above 38F, and evaporates very quickly (heater and wind). This means it requires constant checking and cannot be left plugged in when one is away even for a weekend. This may be due to how shallow it is, It needs to be at least an inch deeper and include raised areas for smaller birds to stand. Overall I have had better luck using the inverted deep lid to a plastic trash can where the molded handle produces raised areas on the inside and a heater can be purchased for less than half the cost of this product. While it's not as attractive in appearance, it's more practical. Sorry.
Service Comments: It was delivered on time and well packaged.

Product Comments: Looks to be well made but I haven't had it long enough to have an opinion on how well it works.
Service Comments: It took longer than I thought it would to receive (17 working days to receive)

Product Comments: This is my third birdbath. Even the squirrels and bunnies love it. In the harsh winters of Montana, it is critical to our wildlife friends to provide a water source. I have a birdbath by every feeding area. Wouldn't be without them. Great quality and safe for even the smaller birds.
Service Comments: Great service and packaging of the product.

Product Comments: We put the bird water feature in backyard. We have been having temperatures below 30 degrees and found the heating element worked well. The unit should be a little deeper or bigger to accomodate larger numbers of birds as we have to refill the device more than once during each day. Maeve
Service Comments: Product was delivered promptly. Item was ordered online. Maeve
