Adopt a Marmoset

Pygmy marmosets are small highly active and agile monkeys that are found in the Upper Amazon basin in South America living in the upper canopy of forest trees. They have long incisors that allow them to chew holes in branches and tree trunks to feed on the tree sap and gum which is their primary food. Marmosets are very territorial and will mark their territory with scent. They also use their scent markings to communicate along with calls that sound bird-like. This species can be found in groups that are made up of a monogamous adult pair and its offspring which is fairly rare in primates. Their coloration, size, mobility and ability to freeze motionless are all adaptations that help them avoid predators. Adopt a marmoset today!
