Adopt a Lion

Lions are the only social member of the cat family and live in groups called prides. Prides may include up to three males, a dozen related females, and their young. The male lion is fiercely protective and defends the pride's territory while the female lion is the pride's primary hunter. They often work together to stalk and ambush their prey with a preference for antelopes, zebras, wildebeest. Lions can be found in the south Sahara desert and in parts of southern and eastern Africa. They are facing threats due to population growth and agricultural expansion which is resulting in their loss of habitat. Adopt a lion today!
