Adopt a Dall Sheep

The Dall sheep is native to northwestern North America and can be found year-round in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. They live mostly above the timberline on ridges and steep slopes and rarely venture far from this rugged terrain. The terrain provides them an escape from predators that include wolves, golden eagles, bears, and humans. Male Dall sheep can be easily identified by their thick curling horns. Females have slightly curved horns that are shorter and more slender. The males seldom associate with females except during the mating season and can be found usually roaming in small social units.
